On Monday, May 13th, Elianne Ramos will be a panelist at the 2013 Global Diaspora Forum, hosted by the U.S. Department of State and USAID and led by the International diaspora Engagement Alliance (IdEA) and FleishmanHillard.
“The Power of Communications to Connect the Diaspora” unconference session will be a wide-ranging conversation about communications within and among diaspora communities. The discussion will include thought leaders from the communications and technology sectors, including
- Robert Boorstin, Public Policy Director, Google
- Rosalind Jordan, Washington Correspondent, Al Jazeera
- Aaron Sherinian, Vice President for Communications and Public Relations, United Nations Foundation
- Sarah Wynn-Williams, Global Public Policy Manager, Facebook
Panelists will provide insights into effective communications and best practices based on their experiences. Building on the results of a preconference survey (which you can take here), panelists will also provide actionable recommendations that diaspora groups of any size can use to connect their communities.
